Dear Hisham,
Let me thank you for all the hard work that you and your team has done. The
India Program with its large quotient of positive results - most
importantly the creation of a large set og college going editors, the push
to further specific sectors such as Indic Language, GLAM and community
development. Your unstinted championing of the WikiConference. All these
have made an impact on the Wikipedia scene in India.
I have disagreed on occasion publicly about the role India Program should
have taken up but I have always believed your role to be a essential
component of our progress and the India Program to be necessary and vital.
I am glad that the Program will continue in a new avatar.
I wish you all the best in your new opportunities and your new life and
hope to continue associating with you after this too.
Sincerely, Ashwin Baindur

Dear English-Wikipedians in India Community
I'm writing to inform you that I plan to leave my current role supporting
Wikimedia in India. I am going to be exploring opportunities and
evaluating options that are closer to my career aspirations and my personal
circumstances. I will be working through to ensure that there is a smooth
transition - and this is likely to take 2-3 months. I am writing now
because I felt it appropriate and opportune to inform you as early as
possible.
