There is considerable interest in San Francisco in having a joint event via
video. Perhaps we can coordinate some of the sessions with NYC. I think it
would be particularly fun to include NYC in the lightning talks.
I've boldly started the ball rolling here:

I think that an unconference with a video link to WMNY
might be fun. We
could include Portland, Seattle, BC and NY all in the same mix. Or if the
timezone is an issue, we could have an unconference with other PST places,
such as San Francisco. (I'll ask the San Francisco folks about their
interest level.)

Wikipedia Day is Friday, January 15, 2016. I
wanted to find out who is
interested in holding observances in our Cascadian bioregion. At a
minimum,
we should have some sort of meetups & perhaps a Wikicake. If there is
interest, we could plan for something on the weekend days.
User:Pharos has indicated that the New York City event for Wikipedia Day
will probably be an unconference format, with possible video links from
other regions & international cities.
He asks should we do something on Friday January 15, or that perhaps more
conveniently that weekend, Saturday January 16 or Sunday January 17?
Some folks have talked about doing celebrations in two or more Cascadian
cities on different days, so some can do a mini-road tour.
What are your thoughts & suggestions?
