I am in to assist with organizing. I worked on previous Wikiconference
grant applications including one for a 2016 proposal to host in Seattle. We
talked about this some years ago and we have a sense of the labor
commitment and logistics.
I have been out of the region some years but am still a Cascadian and ready
to jump into discussions and regional planning.

An event in the Northwest would be best during
September or early October
before the weather turns (but after peak pricing and the wildfire
season).
The University of Washington is out of session basically all
September. Space is very easy to come by during the period so I would
definitely recommend that we target that period if we're going to do
it in Seattle and we want to it host at UW.
Later,
