I really don't see anything wrong with that. Some people just act a bit
too quickly, and add articles to too broad categories. (I did that too
at first.) But it gives people something to work with, and splitting
them up into smaller categories is less work than creating smaller
categories from scratch.
This is the Wiki process. Someone makes a sub-optimal contribution and
others improve on it. Yes, sometimes it's a bit of work to clean up
after *really* sub-optimal contributions, but a good end-result will
eventually precipitate out. C'est la vie-kie.
