I think you've got it exactly backwards. *Every*
trademark logo
is at least intended to be iconic, and a great many of them are.
Bottom line: if you read our articles on [[Fair use (US trademark
law)]], [[Lanham Act]], and [[Nominative use]], I think you'll
find that we're on 100% solid ground in using any company's
trademarked logo in our encyclopedia article on that company.
