It's quite amusing to see in this thread how we sometimes manage to
quarrel while saying the same thing.
The corpus of tens of millions of "bibliographic" items on Wikidata,
however one may choose to call it, has now been in limbo for a while. I
say "limbo" because it's not going back (so far), but it's
semi-(un?)officially prohibited from continuing. I dare anyone to claim
the contrary (i.e. that it's already clear it's going to be removed, or
to be "completed"). Some people are fine with this freeze, while others
feel a sense of urgency about it (I suspect everyone in this discussion
does).
Let's hope that more clarity will come as the linked project proceeds:
