This month's regular meeting of the Wikibase Community User Group is set to be held today, Thursday, February 23 @16:00 UTC (17:00 Berlin): https://meet.jit.si/WikibaseLiveSession
The focus of today's meeting is data modelling, which was highlighted as a topic of interest in the recent Wikibase.cloud user research:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikibase_Cloud_UX_Research.pdf
If you have examples of modelling issues you resolved (or want to resolve) in Wikibase, or tools, articles or presentations you found useful, you're welcome to provide details in today's Etherpad:
<https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/WBUG_2023.02.23>
https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/WBUG_2023.02.23 or simply drop in to talk about them.
Due to illness, WMDE's Valerie can't facilitate today's meeting, but we can still get some good discussions going. If anyone has other topics to discuss, we'll have some time at the end too.
Hope to see you there later,

Dear Community,
After the Cloud survey that brought so many rich insights to us, we want to
continue with a survey specifically tailored to Suite users.
We would like to understand what role Wikibase plays in your organization
and identify what you need from Wikibase based on how you currently make
use of it.
The survey should take 10–15 mins to fill out, depending on whether you
choose to fill out the optional text fields.
You can take the survey here:

Please be aware that all data is fully anonymous and will be deleted
according to GDPR standards. If you consent to be contacted to participate
in future user testing, we will ask for your email and, after the testing,
delete it promptly.
Thank you. We appreciate your support!
Valerie and Jon on behalf of the Wikibase Suite team at WMDE.

Dear Community,
Some might have already read in Telegram: I would like to write a blog
series and interview you during these next months.
Why?
I figured that there is no place yet that displays a Wikibase use cases
more 'in depth' and explain how they are used. There is the registry
<https://wikibase-registry.wmflabs.org/wiki/Main_Page>, yes, but I envision
a conversational format in which one can talk about how they use their
Wikibase and what types of content they are that interested in.
In my ideal world, this can plant seeds for new conversations among you,
but also open doors for new people to get to know Wikibase (better) and
find like-minded people who make use of it as well.
My plan is to see who's interested to talk first, set up a weekly schedule
and start writing. The posts should not be longer than 600–700 words and I
will ask for your approval, of course, before I publish them via:
https://tech-news.wikimedia.de/.
I would like to know who of you might be interested to have such
conversation.
If so, you can write me a direct message.
I'm looking forward to this! :-)
Best,
Valerie Wollinger
