I went ahead and uploaded a newer logo for the page
site ..
its not good enough to be permanent but I think its
prettier than the previous one. If anyone has an
idea what
would be a nice picture to put on the cover, and
what color
scheme would be nice, I could hopefully make one
that we
could keep long-term. I shouldn't let my degree in

design go totally to pot I guess.
I like that logo. I think that you should put the new
Wikipedia logo on the cover once it is chosen
tomorrow.
Also I would like to change the page layout for some
select
pages, like the splash page opener for organic
chemistry (
http://wikibooks.org/wiki/Organic_chemistry ). The
repeat
links at the top of the page just for these main
book pages
could be eliminated and the search box moved to the
side.
That would allow the page title to go top and center
on the
page and give viewers a better view of the page
without
scrolling down. What does anyone else think ?

There's nothing wrong with the organic chemistry book,
but don't you think it's a bit narcissistic to say
that you have the best organic chemistry textbook on
the web? I think you should change it to something
like the best wiki-produced organic chemistry
textbook, or aspires to be the best organic chemistry
textbook on the web. There is probably a finished
organic chemistry textbook on the web, sorry.

PS. Can you move your organic chemistry pages to the
Organic chemistry: namespace?
