That's similar to our problem. We use the Classic skin as default,
and we've been unable to find a way to divide the navigation bar
into several areas by means of horizontal rulers. (Or by any other means.)
As to RSS, it produces extremely strange results in our wiki,
using default settings. It only reports newly created pages,
but not all (for instance, 1 out of 4 newly created image pages),
and only a fraction of modifications listed at Special:RecentChanges.
What our RSS reports or doesn't report seems very unpredictable.
