Starting the sequential numbering of external links at 0

You know how if you put external links as URLs in brackets without any link text, they'll be rendered as [1], [2], etc.? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Links#External_links How do I start the numbering at [0]? Some programmer types think all numbering systems should start with 0, so it bothers them that it automatically starts with 0. Thanks.

Javascript Issues in MW 1.31.1

Dear Wiki Colleagues, We recently converted from MediaWiki 1.26.2 to MediaWiki 1.31.1, and we are having troubles with our javascript no longer working. Our javascript is located in MediaWiki:Common.js. Do you know of any technical reasons that this could occur between the 2 versions ? Thank you so much, Lori

EMWCon - Online! - April 1-3

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Enterprise MediaWiki conference, EMWCon [0], is going to be held as an online conference. Please join us online for the conference April 1-3, 2020 for both talks and an interactive Create Camp. While we are disappointed not be be coming together in person, the online format also presents opportunities. If you were unable to attend the conference in person, please now consider joining us and participating in the discussions remotely. There is no cost to participate in the conference. EMWCon is a three-day conference featuring discussions of topics related to "Enterprise MediaWiki", i.e. the usage of MediaWiki software by and within companies, non-profits, governments, and other organizations. The intended audience of EMWCon is anyone who uses, or would like to learn to more about, MediaWiki. We are also extending the deadline to submit talks until this Friday, March 20 to allow proposals for talks from people who had not anticipated being able to participate. mediawiki short web urls

Running xampp on windows Trying to get short urls to work. If I'm logged in I can get to the pages in the main namespace and get forbidden Error 403 in any other namespace LocalSettings.php $wgScriptPath = ""; $wgArticlePath = "/$1"; $wgUsePathInfo = true; .htaccess file RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*) /index.php/$1 [L] Looked at a lot of pages about mediawiki short urls and nothing works

[Cargo] How to avoid duplicate records?

I keep getting duplicate (or partial duplicate) records. Required rebuildAll.php run

Hi everyone, I am running a script which periodically generates a lot of Wiki pages which are all categorized via a [[Category:XXX]] statement. Every once in a while the Category pages will not show all pages in said category. At this point (no pending jobs according to MediaWiki's runJobs.php) I have to run rebuildAll.php in order for said error to disappear. What might cause this? I am running Mediawiki 1.34.0. Special pages can't be accessed

Hi folks, I'm new to the list and not very MW knowledgeable, please be gentle! This is MW 1.34. I just moved a wiki to a new server. Installing MW on windows server 2016 browser does not support Unicode

MediaWiki 1.31.6 PHP 7.3.15 (apache2handler) MySQL 5.6.41-log Apache/2.4.39 (Win64) OpenSSL/1.0.2r PHP/7.3.15 I'm trying to install MW on Windows Server 2016. When I try to edit and save a page I'm getting the following error. "It appears that your browser does not support Unicode. It is required to edit pages, so your edit was not saved." Thanks, Phil
