Hello,
I'm facing problems regarding the RDFIO extension for semantic mediawiki.
As soon as I want to save an edit of a page, I get a blank page. However,
the changes are still stored in the database and it displays it correctly.
I realized that when I turn off RDFIO in LocalSettings.php the blank page
is gone and it shows the usual "the edit was saved"-page. Any clue what
exactly could cause that? Must be somehow connected to the RDFIO extension.
Thanks all,
Filip
Hi,
I've been having this problem for a couple of years, but now it's
becoming more pressing as I add responsive support to my skin.
If there are @media designations in my skin's LESS or CSS files, then
when I view the site on IE9, the @media designations are ignored and
everything follows the latest CSS rules even if the @media designations
don't apply. On the other hand when I load the pages with ?debug=true,
there's no problem and the @media designations are respected.
Can anyone offer suggestions?
Thank you,
Eli
I've used cpanel to install mediawiki at kvmf.ca/wiki
I want to post an image and can't. I've uploaded the image
to kvmf.ca/wiki/images and used code like this:
[[File:abc.jpg]]
expecting that the page would show the image at that point, but instead
I get a link to a filename (abc.jpg). I've checked the syntax
repeatedly and have changed the mode of the images folder to 777 hoping
this would help but to no avail. I don't know what else to try or what
(if any) diagnostics to try.
Ideas?
Dave

Hi,
I've been following the following two guides on how to install MediaWiki on
Arch Linux (which is so similar to Manjaro that I'd expect these
instructions to be applicable to Manjaro too):
1. MediaWiki - ArchWiki <https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MediaWiki>
2. Running MediaWiki on Arch Linux - MediaWiki
<https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Running_MediaWiki_on_Arch_Linux>
(1) has been my primary source for instruction as it is more up to date
than its counterpart @ mediawiki.org. I managed to follow (1) to the point
of restarting the httpd.service daemon without issue, but at restarting
this daemon I got the error:
Job for httpd.service failed because the control process exited with error
code. See "systemctl status httpd.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
I then ran the instructions given in this method. systemctl status
httpd.service gives:
● httpd.service - Apache Web Server

preset: disabled)

Hello everyone!
I am a newbie to the open source community, and I would like to start
contributing as a developer to fix any of the bugs (or at least try).
So, I followed the below link for installing MediaWiki but got stuck since
last few days at the Configure MediaWiki part.
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Running_MediaWiki_on_Ubuntu
I was followed the steps exactly as in above suggested link except that I
downloaded mediawiki-1.25.2.tar.gz
<https://releases.wikimedia.org/mediawiki/1.25/mediawiki-1.25.1.tar.gz>,
the latest release.
"Under *Database Config*, you *may* change the database name and DB
username to new values, *but you must turn on "Use superuser account",
name: debian-sys-maint "*
I am not able to figure out *where and how* to turn on the superuser
account. This might be an easy or obvious step, but I really have no clue
about how to do this. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
P.S. - I didn't had any problem before the Configure Mediawiki paragraph.
Please look at the attachments if required.
Thank you
Regards
I don't like this feature enabled by default in the latest Mediawiki
(1.25.2) that shows condensed Recent changes. It requires an extra click on
every group of RC links for each page.
I don't know why designers don't make changes like this as an option that
has to be turned on.
So how can this be turned off?
Dan
Hi everyone,
I am using an tag extension where modules and head items are added to $wgOut
I am observing a weird behaviour where the modules get added when I am
browsing as a logged in user but doesn't get added when I am logged out.
Similarly if I run the rebuildFileCache script the modules won't be added.
What's the right way to load modules in a tag extension?
Thanks in Advance.

Nischay Nahata
