Is there a magic word for page views (or some extension that posts
page views for a page over a certain time period)? Trying to gauge
popularity of pages, and I wanted to push this value in as a Semantic
Mediawiki value so I could query articles and sort based on it.
I have had problems in the past using phpMyAdmin to export a database dump.
I suggest that you try to do a mysqldump from the command line and see if
you get better results. I have found that phpMyAdmin times out too quickly
during a dump, and I don't get good results.

Hi all.
What will the upgrade process from 1.13.0rc1 to final look like?
Will replacing a couple of changed files (from the distribution) suffice?

Hi
Is it possible to change the colour of text using wikitext? This doesn't
seem possible from the help files on mw.org, but I just thought I'd ask in
case I missed something!

I am trying to move a wiki from one host to another following the docs
"Manual:Backing up a wiki" and "Manual:Moving a wiki". Everything seems to
have got moved over, except for the image missing (minor prob, probably a
setting somewhere that points to the wrong place on the new server) and the
major uh-oh. Only a part of the pages were moved.
Compare if you like
http://62.149.36.60/~theopden/wiki/index.php/All_Sweet_dishes_etchttp://www.theoldecookerybook.com/index.php/All_Sweet_dishes_etc
The latter is the "From" server, the former the "To" server.
I am using the same tool on both machines PHPMyAdmin, difference being MySQL
version is 5+ on the From-server, 4+ on the To-server. Looking at the tables
in PHPMyAdmin shows the same number of rows though.
What do I try now?

We enabled FCKeditor on our Wiki and it has caused a few problems with
loss of page formatting if someone opens the page with the editor
enabled. The most frequent problem is the use of leading spaces to put
indented text into shaded boxes, or any kind of text indenting. That
gets messed up when the page is edited with the editor enabled. Usually
that can be fixed by reverting to the previous version and then editing
the page with the editor disabled. We suggest to our users that they
disable the editor as a default if they are editing previously created
pages, and only enable it for new pages where they want to do things
such as complex tables that are much easier using the editor.

Hello, I'm currently runing Mediawiki 1.7.0:
Is it possible to disable capitalization of uploaded files names? I'm
aware of $wgCapitalLinks but I don't want to turn off capitalization
for the whole namespace, but rather just for uploaded files names. I
want to preserve case-insensitivity, but not force first-letter
capitalization.
Specifically, I want 'file.patch' to upload as 'file.patch', not 'File.patch'.
Thanks
Bill
