Hi,
I have a page beginning by
"__NOTOC__
{| style="background:#F8F8FF; width:90%;" border="0" cellpadding="5"
cellspacing="0" align="center" valign="middle"
|
| <strong>Recherche</strong>
moteur, annuaires, autre
<font size="1">
(Suche: Suchmaschinen, Kataloge, Sonstiges)
</font>"
But the fontsize doesn't change. I had a look at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML_element#Official and tried for example
<small>, but it does'nt work either, though <strong> or <b> works.
cheers

I've posted a new version of the TableEdit extension. This version
has a lot of changes, including a template markup to allow
incorporation of pulldown menus, database lookups, and simple
calculations/text manipulations in the table editing special page.
The new documentation page can be viewed at:
http://ecoliwiki.net/colipedia/index.php/Special:TableEdit
The extension page on MediaWiki is at:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:TableEdit
As usual, I hope people find this to be useful/interesting.

I've been tasked with creating a knowledge base and I will be using
MediaWiki to implement it. I've used the Citrix Knowledge Center in the
past and feel that format will work well for us. Where in the MediaWiki
documentation does it describe how to setup such itme as search terms,
problem aeas, date ranges, results, etc.
Thanks
Hiho,
I normally create categories with:

I have read thought http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Categories
but still not that sure about categories.
Questions:
* Is it possible to create sub-categories and how?
* If I look at a page with the Category footer, and I click on the Category
it links to edit the page. And not just to a category overview. But it has
members.
Thanks
Oli
Hi,
Just noticed aconsistent behavior. I have a set of pages (several
thousand) , which all contains a transcluded part of the page from a
remote location (all from the same location). The transclusion works
well, but when processing these pages with refreshLinks.php every one of
them causes refreshLinks.php to halt (immediately) with a msg suggesting
to turn on debugging (well, I did, but no message was reported). It just
halts, all of them.
I commented out the transcluded part on these pages (luckily it was
controlled with a template) and then these kind of pages passes the
refreshLinks.php again as normal.

In case anyone is interested, this list is being publicly reposted (with
full e-mail addresses) at:
http://snteam-events.blogspot.com/
If you don't appreciate your e-mail address showing-up at random places
fresh for harvesting, I suggest you go to the blog and flag it. I know
the archive at wikimedia.org are also public, but at least they have the
decency to attempt to mask our addresses.
Hi,
Is there a way to refresh only certain "links", like categories.
When doing "systematical" work with categories one would sometimes like
to refresh the entire database after changes in templates etc. But, the
categories won't "release" old category markup unless touching the
articles. Now, updating ALL links flr several hundred thousand articles,
or more, isn't always desired.
So here we go, Rob or Brian, a script like updateCategoryLinks.php
[startindex] would be something... (if not already there, somehow).
I'd be the first one to test it for you! =)
TIA,

We've developed a thematic skin for our (commercial) site, and would
like to make it *the* skin, i.e. there will be no other choices, and
even current users with a different skin will find themselves using the
new skin the next time they log in. What is the best way to do this?
I've set the 'wgDefaultSkin' variable, but it won't affect current users
(I imagine), and in any case it doesn't force a single skin.
Thanks,
Ken
I see from the help article http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Searching
that the search does and automatic AND on all words in the search edit
box. Is there a way to force and OR or possibly use wildcards?
I have done some searching and have not found anything but find it odd
that I would be the first one asking about this.
Ideas?
Thanks
