I don't have access to php.ini, so I guess I won't be looking at that.

Did you try to edit the page multiple times? Sometimes the edit will work on the first submit, but most of the time you have to hit submit over and over until you don't get a session error.
How do you find where the sessions are trying to be stored and where they should be stored? Remember, this is a webhost so I probably won't be able to do much about server errors. I tried installing MW on another webhost and ended up with the same problem, which makes me think it is a problem with MW v1.9.2
Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to integrate Google maps into a mediawiki site. I want to
make a site that can allow users to add different types of markers on the
Google map by just clicking on the map but I'm not sure how to do this. Are
there any publically available instructions? Do I make changes on the edit
page or do I have to edit some other file. Thank you!!!!

Thanks for your help; I was able to do it. However, I was wondering
if this could be extended so that, to be an active link, it has to
have: either text in the category or category members in the
category, or both.
In other words, if a category has no text, and no category members,
it wouldn't be a blue link.
Is this possible?
Thanks again.
I am trying to integrate Google Maps with a Media wiki. I have downloaded
the extensions, obtained an API key and modified my LocalSettings.php file.
However, when I went to view my new site it gave me this error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in
/afs/athena.mit.edu/user/a/f/afong05/web_scripts/Connect/LocalSettings.php
on line 294
Does anyone know what I should do?
Thank you

I am running MW 1.9 on IIS6 with MySQL 5 and Php 5. Some of my users
are encountering a strange error. I am having trouble tracking down the
problem. Here is the scenario:
The user logs into the wiki. He can view pages without any problems.
He can sometime create/edit pages. However, sometimes when he is trying
to create/edit a page, he will get this message: "Do you want to open or
save this file". Once he gets this message he is unable to create/edit
pages. When he gets this message, I have him close his browser and log
back in. I have had him switch browsers too. But he can't create/edit
a page. Time appears to be the only solution to the problem. Time goes
by and things clear up for a while. But the problem always comes back.
This is NOT an isolated incident. It has happened to several of my users.
I suspect that it might be an IIS issue but the logs do not show any
problem.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks!

Hello to all. I am launching an educational wiki for women about personal finance (http://womensmoney.dbcity.com). I have created a custom skin and all was going well until now...
In Firefox, the custom skin is showing correctly but all links are disabled in the content column. I cannot logon using Firefox.
In IE7.0 (still needs some layout fixes), all the links work but when I logon, the skin reverts to the Standard skin.
I've scoured the main.css file to try to find my errors but my skill level with CSS and WikiMedia has failed me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
Nancy
When I run the update.php script it hangs on "Deleting old default
message..." every time. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thankyou -- Sam Wilson.

Why not add the new fields at the time when the functionality
is added? I see little point in adding more fields to the schema
if there is only a possible future use, which may very well
necessitate changing the schema again.

The page_restrictions table already has a primary key, so what exactly would
this new column add?

Is it possible to show in one wiki an image that is in another wiki,
like interwiki linking?
I'd like to use on mediawiki.org an image that in on the Wikipedia.
External images are disabled on that site... Does that apply to
interwiki images as well?
