You can simply disallow the edit and create account permission for anonymous
users (i think it is the all * group).
Then if anyone wants to edit needs to have and account, that can only be
created by an existing one (any registered or any sysop, it depends how you
configure it).
No extension needed.

I run a couple of wikis. Both are used as glorified
help pages for
certain projects. One is made by one person (me), and another is
created by several persons.
In any case, beyond a limited list of people, we have no interest in
having outsiders contribute, at the time. And spam is very time
consuming. SpamBlackList does not work well (complains about too long
regexp) etc.
So. I would like to know if there is some extension that limits who
can contribute, to, say, a list of sysops.
