I remember looking into patching MW back when it was on v1.3, so that each
namespace had a 'type' associated with it, where type would be one of
Standard, Media or Category (with Special, Template and Messages as special
types which can only have one associated namespace) but never got beyond the
ideas stage.
The most useful application of that in the current implementaiton of MW
would be to have multiple 'image' namespaces, but there are other potential
future uses (e.g. a 'Database' type if we ever implement DB functionality).
I think this is something to consider adding to the Namespace manager before
it makes it into trunk.
