Hey,
Thanks for the info. Was the the image you were trying to import?
I like the idea of importing the description as well, I'll look into that.

Hi
Great extension.
Unfortunately it has problems with improper file names (on a search for
Budapest , I get this message:"The filename
"On+Vaci+Utca%2C+Budapest.jpg"
contains characters that are not allowed in page titles. Please rename the
file and try uploading it again.", maybe an option to rename the file
would
be nice).
And maybe the link to the original image, should be changed to the
description page of the image?
And I don't know, if its possible, but maybe such a one click import would
be useful to implement on commons, so that local wiki images can be
imported
in this way (maybe with an intermediate step with the option to change the
description, possibly using suggestions from the Commonshelper).
Again, I must say you have done a wonderful job, and I have to say I was
amased by the speed of it (just one click and the image is uploaded!).
Keep up the good work
Regards, Bence

I've converted some code we've been using into an extension for
importing
properly licensed photos from flickr into a
Mediawiki installation:

It makes use of the phpFlickr package for the API calls.
Feel free to play around with it here:
