Whilst all universities use JANET, a lot don't use it in residential
buildings - I'm in university accomodation just now, but as far as I
know the provided network connection is really going through Demon. So
this may get confusing...
OTOH, some get especial dispensations to use JANET for residential
access, either because they pay for it (as Warwick does), or because,
well, because (as with Oxford and Cambridge, AIUI).
