FWIW, the Dutch and German language Wikipedia editors have developed their
own processes and policies which at some points differ substantially from
those of the English language Wikipedia. Even the best of translations of
quite a few articles on these wikis would never survive (intact or at all)
on the English Wikipedia.
(Presumably other language wikis have done the same but I've edited only
these three.)
