Perhaps, but I don't see many articles being nominated for AfD with the
reason that it's a bad quality article. It might well be so. But the reason
is usually, hoax, nonsense, or the most popular one "non notable".

Mind you, I don't spend that much time on AfD so I could be missing a lot.
