I have no position on exactly how this disambiguation should work.
However, I would like to point out that in terms of population, physical
size, total international trade, total GDP, per capita GDP, the US state
of Georgia is far bigger than the nation of Georgia.
So the "Paris, Texas" versus "Paris, France" comparison is a bit
sketchy, at least.
/me assiduously avoids making any comparisons among the world leaders
produced by the two Georgias.
