This sounds like the fallacy that volunteers can be told to do something
other than what they're interested in. I cannot imagine ever having the
patience to go stub-sorting, but those on WSS can. They're doing useful
work and they feel like they are.
P.S. Had I known my email would have generated so many
follow-ups, I would
have changed the subject line. But I doubt I could have improved on Mark
Gallagher's "stubification to the max!"
