Not in the UK. Great care is (or at least should be) taken to ensure that 
the Judiciary is independent of the Government.

Sometimes this works a treat, like when the Judges tell Ministers that their 
latest publicity-seeking policy is cobblers.

Sometimes it's not so great, like when a Judge gets a bee in his (usually, 
although there are some mad female Judges also :-) bonnet about something 
and goes on a bit of a rampage.

It'll all balance out in the end, I expect...
