Brion-
I checked the logs, and the pages in question appear
to have been posted
in Spanish on the English Wikipedia, and were deleted by Jiang with
reason "not in English" within minutes of their posting.
Useless content by the definition of EnWiki, completely reasonable to
delete without listing. We should try to keep the article space as clean
of junk pages as reasonably possible to avoid creating an unprofessional
impression for readers and random page clickers. It's also less work for
sysops. I'm very much in favor of click and delete for obviously useless
content. Curiously enough, it may well be that the additional work of
adding the deletion notice encourages sysops to click and delete more
often.
Putting a notice on the pages that they should be
moved to
es.wikipedia.org and/or translated into English would have taken just a
few seconds, and may have made a new contributor very pleased and
interested instead of angered and alienated.
I'm sure he will understand the procedure as soon as it is explained to
him. If he won't, well, I guess we won't be getting any more "recipies"
from him.

Erik
