Actually, I am not sure.
But... I'll tell you more next week.
I am currently in Zambia, at a workshop organized by Cornell University 
and funded by the Gate Foundation, to work out grant proposals to the 
Gate Foundation. We should give back our copies tomorrow morning. We 
would be potential partners in a request related to the production of 
Wikibooks in Agriculture. That type of things is totally within the 
scope of stuff they support, but I am not sure we would get much money 
of it (who knows...), mostly content.
However, I think we'll propose tomorrow 18 proposals and they indicated 
they would probably pick up 3 of them.

I took the opportunity to ask them examples of things they were funding, 
and of things they were NOT funding. Clearly, you do not get to them in 
just saying "do you have money for us", it needs to be a little bit more 
specific :-)
Big emphasis is put on how projects change the life of small holders, 
and in particular of women.

At the same time, I have a talk planned with one of the two program 
leader of the Gate Foundation present at this workshop. Should have been 
today, but I guess we ran out of time.
