I set up the request on meta, only to discover that en.wikiversity is up 
and going.  The inter-project links aren't working yet, but you can 
visit (and create an account on)

I'm making a formal request to be a temporary bureaucrat on 
en.wikiversity until we can vote on things like admins and such.
