Well, since the Cookbook is one of the oldest Wikibooks, I don't think 
anyone can honestly claim to be surprised that Wikibooks has things 
other than textbooks.  The "Wikibooks:About" page has even for *years* 
said: "Wikibooks is a collection of open content textbooks, manuals, and 
other texts".

Chopping off "manuals, and other texts" and making it textbooks-only 
would be quite a radical change, and I see no compelling reason to do so.
