tl;dr: WMF Continuous Integration will have downtime on Tuesday August
2nd starting at about 16:00 UTC due to a WMF Labs infrastructure
upgrade. Don't expect Jenkins to report test failure/passing on your
changes during this time.
Apologies for the disruption,
Greg on behalf of the Release Engineering team

Hello,
I prepare an extension for category (for myself). I need to find page in a
sql select with "order by rand()" (mysql).
How to do ? I have each time an error when i try.
This is my syntax i have :
$res = $dbr->select(
array( 'page', 'categorylinks' ),
array( 'page_title' ),
array(
'cl_to' => 'aricles de toto' ,
),
'',
array(
'ORDER BY' => 'page_title ASC'
#'ORDER BY' => rand(),
'LIMIT' => 10,
),
array( 'categorylinks' => array( 'LEFT JOIN', array(
'cl_from = page_id' ) ) )
);
Thank's a lot

Recently WMDE started rolling out the RevisionSlider beta feature to a
handful of wikis.
We wanted to track how many people were using the feature as well as how
many people were enabling / disabling it per day.
Getting this data for all beta features is no more difficult than getting
it for the RevisonSlider only.
Thus we now have this dashboard, Enjoy!
https://grafana.wikimedia.org/dashboard/db/betafeatures
Any comments / suggestions are very welcome.

Hi Wikitech-l,
Some people asking around about a new group that appears to have been
globally rolled out to WMF wiki's; default name "basic" with only
permission "torunblocked" - can anyone point me to this change?
Thanks

Hello,
i have a problem. If i start my parsoid server it initialize the 4
workers and get ready on the ip. But if i try to click on the edit
Button in the wikipage i get two exceptions. One at the wikipage: Error
at loading data from the server: 500: docserver-http: HTTP 500.
And the other at the console of the parsoid service:
[warning/api/econnrefused][localhost/v3/page/html/Main_Page/3] Failed
API request,
{"error":{"code":"ECONNREFUSED","errno":"ECONNREFUSED","syscall":"connect"},"retries-remaining":0}
So im helpless with that kind of exceptions and also searched on google
but didnt find the right solution so what can i do for?

Hello,
I have added a Jenkins job that attempt to build a Debian package when a
patch is proposed. I have applied it on all of the operations/debs/
repositories as well as to a few others (such as mediawiki/debian).
The newcomer is named debian-glue it is based on a set of shell script
to integrated the Debian packaging toolchain in Jenkins:
http://jenkins-debian-glue.org/
The first version got originally introduced by Carl "Azatoth"
Fürstenberg exactly three years ago. It is not generalized but still
highly experimental.
Please fill feedback/issues in Phabricator against
#continuous-integration-config , ideally with 'debian-glue' in the subject:
