Well some people will just not be able to get comfortable with markup,
even thought the markup is designed to be human friendly it is still
markup. To open the application to more users a WYSIWYG editor will be
required (for us), and since this is open source and we are sharing
resources I would like to coordinate that effort. Of course if I'm the
only one interested, I will just do it my way...

A super idea. I would love to see both a notice like the "Welcome!
you too can edit" notice on de: that Kurt describes, and a "Submit
feedback!" button (with that text, or with Mark's longer text below)
that takes you to the "Add a section to the talk page" form for the
current article.
