You intentions are good but NPOV and multiple articles on the same topic
are not compatible. The only exception is different languages or
audience. For instance there could be an additional version for children
- but this should better kept in a seperate wiki as for languages.
And I think there's another important issue: I
must admit that I feel
somewhat reluctant to delete another article and to replace it with my one.
Although I may be an expert in a field, how can I be sure that I'm going to
write a better (easier to read and understand, more accurate,...) article on
a topic than somebody else?
If you think your article is not better then don't post it to Wikipedia
at all. By the way you seldomly write an entire new article but modify
the old version. If you have to write a new version from ground (this
happens) then the old version was not good enough.
