And Mark Williamson starts again to spread his FUD, which is the only way he can keep his creation online.
Dear Craig, the vote results we presented are split into two tabs: Moldovans and Romanians. Therefore, you can forget about the Romanians. I don know what the problem of Mark is, but:
1. He is not able to contribute correctly in Moldovan. All original text by him is full of grammar and spelling mistakes. And you must understand that this is a disgrace for a language that has a rather complex grammar, close to the Latin one.
2. The correct articles added by Mark have been transliterated from ro.wiki. This guy is not even interested in learning correct moldovan. All he wants is to make a political statement (which is not the purpose of wikipedia).
3. Mark is alone in claiming that he speaks Moldovan ***and*** wants a mo.wiki. All other users that declare themselves Moldovan (and prove it by writing correctly) believe that the current mo.wiki is at best weird and/or a very bad joke. And note that Moldovans are the actual audience Mark claims to care for.
4. As you say, the creation and development of mo.wiki should be the work of Moldovans themselves. The problem being that no Moldovan editor wants it. I therefore suggest we close it until actual Moldovan contributors want to create and develop it.

I hate to say, but I find myself agreeing with Node about this. It seems
absurd to me that Romanians should be allowed to participate in the vote, to
the exclusion of all others. It would be similar to having a vote on
closing the Scots wikipedia, where only English and Scots voters were
permitted to voice an opinion.
Note that I'm not disputing the facts that "Moldovian" and "Romanian" are
essentially the same language, or the assertation that all the content on
mo.wiki is rubbish, but it seems grossly unfair to me to gerrymander the
electorate in such a way as to exclude many people who might have a
legitimate point of view.

I took a quick poll amongst the adminstrators of scn.wiki (all 4 of us!) - the feeling was quite unanimous - we pride ourselves on having got up to 4,500 odd articles without any assistance from a bot and we much prefer to continue going down that route.
I agree with Slavik on all counts - adding tens of thousands of articles to a small wikipedia just because you can is of no real value. A handful of people are never going to get through a fraction of that quantity of articles in terms of checking them, adding to them, etc. On the other hand, covering all countries and major cities of the world (approx. 500 articles?) does not seem such a bad idea. However, for the moment, scn.wiki is quite happy to continue plodding along at our unspectacular, but steady, rate.

Well, what should the people from a smaller Wikipedia do to become a
testing place for the new project? I am ready to cooperate about the
Ossetic (and probably also Chuvash and Udmurt) wikipedia. Really,
thousands of new articles might be a not so good idea, but creating
stubs about all countries and probably about the largest cities of the
world sounds good.
So, what is the algorythm?

Hi,
I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post announcements. Please
don't blame me if it isn't.
I just wanted to say that version 0.9 of "Wikipedia on iPod" (Encyclopodia) is
now available for download at:
http://encyclopodia.sourceforge.net
Encyclopodia comes with a setup wizard for Windows. Installation from Linux
and Mac is also possible, but it's still a bit tricky as there isn't any easy
to use setup wizard for Linux and Mac yet.
Currently, the English, German and Italian Wikipedia can be loaded on your
iPod. If you're interested in another language, please send me an e-mail.
Have fun,
Robert Bamler

Thanks to Zhengzu, Brane, Nikerabbit and Brion, Serbian Wikipedia is
now in Cyrillic, Latin, Ekavian and Iyekavian variant. This is the
great news! We have a lot of work now. I am going to write
documentation and bots :)

Wikipedia's main page: www.wikipedia.org .
Could you be so kind to tell me how I should proceed?
Many thanks.
