Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Achal.
It looks like you indicated at the time of your registration that you
needed a visa, and at that time some fields we now require were not on
the registration form. It was simply asking you to fill in the
missing information before continuing.
This wasn't an intentional design decision, and since anyone who needs
a visa has either already applied or is probably too late, I've
disabled that validation.
As of right now, 83 people have confirmed their attendance, and as the
e-mails continue this morning I expect many more. I appreciate you
working around the problem, and I hope nobody was terribly
inconvenienced by this.

You might have registrations confirmed faster if these bugs are fixed.
