Some of us are going to the Smithsonian American Art Museum this evening,
meeting in the lobby of Marvin Center at 5:30pm (or meet outside the
museum, on the north side -- G St NW entrance at 6pm).
They have a special exhibition on the Art of Video Games and lots of other
wonderful artworks. Afterwards, we can get dinner somewhere around
Chinatown or whatever people want. (U St, ethiopian?)
Cheers,
Katie

Hi everybody,
most people which shared ithe room with me (room 706 at HI-DC) have
returned home today but somebody left a plastic bag with some
belongings.
The bag is a plastic bag with a Santa picture on it, it contains
clothes (shorts, singlet, a pair of boxers) and a couple of
Garmin-branded cables of which I'm not able to tell their use (!). I
don't remember the nicknames of all my roommates, let alone complete
names (sorry, I'm really not good at that). Anyway if you were staying
in room 706 at Hostelling International DC and you recognize your
things I'll be happy to help (three possible solutions so far: give
the bag to the organizers here in DC, bring the things in Italy with
me and send them to you from there [if you, forgetful unknown guy,
live in Europe it may well be the most convenient solution] or just
leave all the stuff here ... and let the entropy of the universe rise
freely :P). You can write me in private, if you wish.
Cristian
p.s.: in the highly unlikely case that the bag belongs to somebody
which is still in the room (which I doubt since three out of the four
remaining occupants of the room are here now)... I apologize in
advance for snooping in what then would be your things Lodewijk :P
...but the bag was under my bed ...
Today a Wikimedian has losted a white wallet at the hostel (6th or 7th floor restroom, i'm not completely sure now), with some money inside, which is all he has here. His name is Vinicius, he's from Brazil and he is now talking to the hostel's staff. If some of you found it, please say something. I'm at 806 dorm and can put you in touch.
Tks in advance,
CasteloBranco

Hey.
So anyone planning on going there?
I plan on visiting there hopefully on the 15th before I leave back to Colombo. It's basically the bigger part of the Air & Space Museum which most of us know in DC, and houses the Space Shuttle Discovery (YEAH!), SR71 Blackbird, Gemini 7, the B29 that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, a Concorde, and tons more.
Links: Website, Wikipedia.
Let me know if anyone's interested. Haven't planned the transportation route yet. It's located just next to the Dulles airport.

Hi,
Does anyone know if food will be provided at the party tonight? I
couldn't find any information about the party on the Wikimania wiki,
apart from a link to where it's happening.
Thanks :)

Hello everyone!
This is a reminder about the Wikimedia Asia lunch tomorrow: 13:30-14:30
(conference lunchtime). Bring all your Asian friends at Wikimania. Asia
include everything from Israel to Kazakhstan to Japan to Thailand to New
Zealand!
http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Meetups#Wikimedia_Asia
Please collect your own conference box lunch. We will meet on the *lounge
area, 1st floor, Marvin Center.*
Deryck
PS. Sorry for the clash with Wiki Women Lunch - blame them for changing
their meeting time!
My fellow Wiki-Americans,
Since many more Wikimaniacs have joined us since the first officialish
meeting, I propose that we hold an informal WALRUS II get-together
this evening (Saturday) for dinner-ish and pub-ish stuff at 5:30PM
right after the big Wikimanioa Group Photo.
We'll leave directly from the Group Photo location.
Bring your fellow Wiki-Americans and friends, all nationalities are
certainly welcome!
Thanks,
Richard
