Dear Gryllida,
Thanks so much for inviting more comments about the Media Viewer!
Your timing is impeccable, as we’re getting ready to ask for more community feedback on an
updated beta version v0.2, which will be in wider release in coming days.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have already
contributed on our discussion page! Your thoughtful comments are really helpful to our
team, and we have been acting on many of them already.
Here are just some of the many improvements we’ve made to Media Viewer, thanks to your
invaluable feedback:

Sorry if we haven't been more responsive on this page in recent weeks: we have all
been busy improving the product, based on your earlier feedback. Starting next week, we
will participate more actively on this discussion page, as well as archive comments which
have now been addressed, to reduce clutter — and to invite us all to focus on the new
features and improvements.
Keep your great insights coming! Keegan, MarkTraceur, other team members and I will do our
best to answer your questions. But even if don't always respond right away, rest
assured that we are reading your comments and considering every suggestion carefully. :)
Onward!
Fabrice

In the Beta tab, you'll probably have already
noticed a big fat Media Viewer tick-box.
All, please participate in discussion at its feedback page, with potential creativity
required to keep the feature useable, transparent and open in conveying file info to the
readers, and interactive.

Surprisingly, the Multimedia team are not actively participating at the talk page at the
moment; if you're on this list, please do!
