I have been looking for different projects for contributing to wiki community better during the this upcoming summer of code and came across Bug:57805 which could produce a significant difference 

in user interaction with mediawiki commons ....please go through a rough proposal i prepared explaining my aim to the project .....this idea implements lightbox interface
