Please could somebody of the developers deactivate the image upload on
nds.wikipedia?
I made a request for this on the wiki since July [1]. There were little response
to this (but this is not astonishing, because there a few regular contributors
at all) and no real concerns against it. Reasons for the deactivating are, that
we have no expertise on legal issues regarding images so we couldn't sort out
violations of licences effectively if such would occur. Additionally we have
only generated around 100 images in two and a halv years of existence of which
I already deleted 50, because they were duplicates of images which are now on
Commons. So it seems better, when users of nds.wikipedia esteem the Commons as
their main image repository.
