I've installed mediawiki 1.5 from cvs, 1.5 b3 and 1.4.7
and there was the same result.
For code:
{|
{|
| California
|}
was rendering two tables:
<table>
<table>
<tr>
<td> California
</td></tr></table>
<p><br />
</p>
</table>
from wikipedia just one table, and second {| was replaced with:
<tr>
<td></td>
</tr>
So result rendering table on wikipedia was:
<table>
<tr>
<td></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>California</td>
</tr>
</table>
<p><br /></p>
Thanks

Hi there...
I've just installed mediawiki 1.4.7
And now I have a question. I've created the next table:
*snip*
Why it is so different?
I think the second peace of code is much better. How can I set up it?
Thank you and sory for my english.

Wikipedia is running on the new 1.5 beta MediaWiki engine, therefor it
includes the improved parser which has for example, fixed your unquoted
align to center in the table properties and made the tidier formating of
tr's.
Upgrade your site to the latest release of 1.5 beta version for the
improvements but as always remember its a beta so you may have to
upgrade more often until the final release and you might have some
problems so make a test wiki before upgrading your current site and
always backup. I'm personally waiting for final release before I upgrade
since I currently don't 'need' any of the new features as my site as
only just recently opened.
Hope that's clear enough. :)
