This doesn't answer your main question, but I think it will eliminate
one mistake you've made: wfProfileIn() and wfProfileOut() are global
functions called in pretty much every function to aid developers in
debugging and improving the code. I think "profiling" in this context
is about collecting data about the time various functions take to
complete. Anyway, it's nothing you need to know about to answer your
question.

Thinking about your main question, though, I wonder if
it would be
better to describe what you are actually trying to do. I mean, there
must indeed be a point where the output is finally "printed" to the
HTTP connection, but presuming you are hoping to modify that output in
some way, there may be an earlier stage of processing which your
modification would conceptually fit into more neatly.
You're right - I try to do this. So, I'd like to know where is this point.
