On English Wikipedia, we use a template "copyvio". It has an argument
"url" which is used to display a link to the original online article which
has been copied.
The text of {{copyvio}} is available at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Copyvio
An invocation failed for the URL
"http://www.privacyinternational.org/article.shtml?cmd[347]=x-347-65428".
After some messing around we worked out that the problem was the embedded
square brackets.
I changed it to:
{{copyvio|url=http://www.privacyinternational.org/article.shtml?cmd%5B347%5D=x-347-65428}}
Of course this kind of fix probably wouldn't be easy for the average
Wikimedia editor to do--and probably way beyond the capacity of 90% of all
Wikipedians.
Would this be easy to fix? Am I missing something neat and lovely?
