There's an offline editor Eclipse plugin using the standard http
protocol. See
http://www.plog4u.org/index.php/Using_Eclipse_Wikipedia_Editor for more
information about it. The preferences and the offline cache concept are
a bit confusing but the editor itself is fine.
And I also know of a jEdit plugin, but can't tell you much about it.
