Is this technically possible ? Is this suitable ? What
do you think ? Do you have other ideas ?
How about a link on this (and any future) such announcements that says
something like "What's this announcement all about?" It could point
to a page explaining everything you just did about the banner (that
it's temporary, because of a Slashdot interview with Jim, ads on pages
-- even self-promotion ads -- isn't something Wikipedia normally does,
etc.)
