Yes, I think that sums it up perfectly. There really shouldn't be any
debate here -- a category for stubs is a bad idea, but there's still a
definite need for useful metadata pages.
If it's category-like functionality that's desired, how hard would it
be to duplicate and tweak some of the category code to create a new
tool for displaying this metadata? Or would it be simpler to just
create a new tool entirely?

p.s. Hello, world! I'm a newcomer, a dot-com veteran doing consulting
work now and thinking of heading back for a PhD in philosophy next
year. I only got my copy of the wikidb loaded and my MediaWiki
running yesterday, but once I get the time I'll hopefully be
