Have you or Jason a mean to test the chips separately?
Well, I'm nowhere near the place so all I can do is log in if the
machine is up or call Jason and complain while he's trying to get it
back online. ;)
We don't have any other machines that can take those chips right now, so
until the other parts come the only way to test them would be to take
pliny offline again, put the chips in, and run memtest86 until either it
dies or we're satisfied that there's not a problem.
When the new parts are in, we can instead test them in larousse, which
can be taken offline without interrupting wiki access too badly, since
pliny can take over larousse's job but not vice-versa.
