These numbers for the German Wikipedia are about 15% - 25% higher than

I think it is fair to admit that the German Wikipedia is taking
over the position as the world's 2nd biggest wiki, even though the
number of articles doesn't really reach susning's yet. With the
German speaking population being ten times bigger than Sweden's this
is inevitable, only a matter of time.
However, the "Suchausdrücke" / "Search strings" (hits with a
referrer URL from a search engine) are much lower on the German
Wikipedia than on susning.nu. How come? Does Wikipedia's
configuration of Webalizer fail to recognize some (German) search
engines? Or do Germans don't use search engines? Even the Swedish
Wikipedia has more search string hits than the German Wikipedia.
