Hi, I am currently developing a PHP wiki engine called svsWiki, it will do
everything that you are looking for, the only problem is that I have hit a
road block, I need a function that will do the conversion from wiki to html,
I am looking at the NEWS markup system that has been brainstormed here:
http://www.cheeky.house.cx/cgi-bin/nemowiki.pl?NEWS.
If anyone is interested in writing me a clean function or class that would
do this it would be much appreciated, most of the core is complete and
general concept and design is done on the MySQL end, the idea of this wiki
is to make it as user friendly as possible with a good user management
system and a decent themeing system.
go here for more info on my wiki engine:
http://www.spacevs.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?SvsWiki
Regards
Geoff
PS: I found PhpWiki to be very very poor performance wise.

I'm looking for a PHP/MySQL version. My questions are:
Does some one know where I can found a PHP version of Usemod Wiki?
No such thing exists; UseModWiki is written in Perl.
There are many wiki programs written in PHP; PhpWiki is fairly popular,
and I believe our diff function is borrowed from it, but otherwise it
bears no relation to our code. I don't know how similar it is in
formatting etc.
See:
http://phpwiki.sourceforge.net/
Do you restart the PHP version of Wikipedia from
scratch?
The current (phase 3) code was largely written anew by Lee Daniel
Crocker, but partially based on the phase 2 code. The phase 2 code was
written from scratch by Magnus Manske. A few parsing functions might
have been based directly on UseModWiki code (?) but the overall code
structure is totally different.
