That's why somebody added a link to
[[Wikipedia:Administrators]] (at least on [[en:]]).
Then they find the list of administrators.
And they can't email mav, and they can't email
Ilyanep ... but they can email me! (And on a few
occasions, they have.)
Couldn't they still email me by using the "Email this user" link? AFAIK, any
blocked IP can still log-in and use that feature. Is this also true for
blocked user names?
I have a question for the techies: On the "Contact us" page on Wikibooks I
have a live mailto link to textbook-l, but I have obscured the displayed
email address like so:
[mailto:textbook-l@wikipedia.org textbook-l at
wikipedia.org] (replace " at "
with @)
Is this enough to prevent spam bots from sniffing the email address?
If so then I'll change my "email" link on the Admin page accordingly.
