Simple question with a complex answer.
How do I install MediaWiki on Windows?
Oh, it's really easy:
1. Install Linux
2. Install MediaWiki
LOL. I'd happily get Linux but I've already done so much stuff on
'Windoze' XP, saved on an NTFS disk (I assume Linux can't boot off
NTFS?), that I'd have to use PartitionMagic or something to keep
all my files. And paying $50 for PartitionMagic defeats the purpose
of getting a 'free' operating system.
That still doesn't answer my question; it says how to install
MediaWiki on a machine that ran Windows once. Not /on/ Windows :-).
Brion: thanks for the tarball. 2221KB? As in 2MB? So the tarball
itself would fit onto two floppies? Wow...but maybe the download
of PHP and MySQL will compensate for MediaWiki's small size.
