will die? They seemed to have been pretty fruitless up until now anyways....

Mass imports are not a good idea because you absorb more material than you
can digest comfortably, but mutual linking of articles with a lot of copying
would be to the advantage of both projects. Why don't you propose that to
them?
Would they get mad? They have no right to under the GFDL but it is only
human to resent "The Competition" copying all your hard work.
