Both! I was interviewed at length, but I could tell he knew his stuff
already.
If he researched all of this from the mailing list, then he probably
should have written "Wikipedians are planning to discuss how to move
to a 1.0 version, as soon as they end their 37-month-long debate over
the much more important and divisive issue of exactly what the logo
should look like." :-)
